About 5 minutes from where I live we have a road linking two valleys.
We know it around here as the mungatuk road, and it was only recently sealed .
This is a 5 minute clip from the end of the seal coming back eastward to valley road.
The road is narrow and tight and demands respect as there isnt much to stop you should you decide to wander of the road, it is however, perfect for scrubbing in new tyres.

Re: Out of the Maungakotukatuka Valley

According to your speedo that road is only 3.6 km long but because of the blind corners and narrowness of the track it seems longer. Nice ride, if that was my backyard I'd spend a lot of time there.

Re: Out of the Maungakotukatuka Valley

The road is certainly longer, but it is unsealed.
As kids we would grab a tent and spend a couple of nights in there living on possums and eels.
Definitely tiger country.:y2:
