I love looking at these old brochures, the best I had were 2 x 3L Ford Granada one manual and one automatic.
Those were never even sold here in the USA.
The Ford they called the Ganada in the USA was a complete POS and didn't last long.
Upper photo in 2 door style:
The car you had was sold as a Ford import only in a 2door sports car style as the Mercury Capri in 4 or 6 cylinder models.....

I had one of these and in that color that I got running and road worth. I sold it to guy who did a full resotration. It was a V16, basically two straight eights on a common crank. Separate fuel and ignition systems on each bank. What an awesome car it was in its day.

A GTO; very, very cool.
Well, to be honest, I couldn't afford a brand new GTO in 1968. That was my Mother's car!
It had a built-in 8-Track tape player too. My Brother totalled it though.

Your mom had great taste in cars.
Well...my Brother and I had a lot of input too. All my Mom cared about was having a convertible top! Her car prior to that was a Buick Skylark convertible with the V-6 engine that later was sold to Rover and became legendary.
