Hi all,

Bought a new Speedmaster last year, (yeah, the 50 year old cry of it's not too late!) after riding sports bikes previously, then a long lay off & ending up with a knackered back, neck & knee (from other silly things)...
I wasn't sure at first with a cruiser, but now I love the ride..!
Riding her 24-7 all weather, only issues:
1.Those bl__dy Metzler tires are lethal in the wet! Swapping those out after getting some miles on them in the next few warm months, for some wet weather beasts...
2. The back pads get eaten like Tramodol on a bad back weekend! (moving onto ceramics next)
3. This hog could do with another gear so she's sitting at a lower rev's at & 75-80 (mileage would improve too)

As I'm up for my 1st years service & trying to minimize being tucked up for costs, a couple of questions you all might be able to educate me on.
Are the 2013- 2016 models components all inter changeable or for example:
The brake lever - is it the same/ unchanged in the models from 2007 - 2016 or do triumph tweak them to keep the cash cow rolling? (snapped my one trying to heat it up straighten it out last night)
Is there a workshop manual that I can get (wont be paying service costs once the warranty is over, that's for sure...)

Any way, hello to all, see you out in the sun

Hello and welcome to TT BBEER
I'll have to leave your questions to those who own these models.
My suggestion is to post your questions again in the appropriate forum category for best exposure to the membership.
Not everyone reads the intro threads.

Cheers Rocky, much appreciated

Welcome to TT from Eastern Canada.
Glad you're liking your cruiser.
As it is a chain driven bike you should be able to change the sprockets to suit your needs better. Not sure how the speedo is driven on the Speedmaster, so may want to watch for that if you modify the drive ratio.
Enjoy your ride.

Hi Steve and WELCOMEwith respect for you quest for another gear, when I first got my America I kept looking for another one.A cheap way to improve it is to up the front sprocket one tooth.
Made a surprising difference and calmed it down a lot.

Hi all,
cheers for the greetings, much appreciated...

I got the hog back to day from its 1st service - just short of £300! I think maybe my oil was made from truffle oil o_O
They loaned me a T100, nice little around town-er, nippy & light for what it is, but bleedin' awful out on open roads or two up!
(a head's up for anyone looking...)

Praying for blur skies tomorrow, for a few hours of two wheel meditation

Love & luck
Steve

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you're really getting into the bike! I always wanted to try a newer Triumph. Hope you get your blue skies. BBEER
