Good morning group. My name is Ed and having purchased a 1997 Thunderbird 900
this week I have joined this group to gleen knowledge, make new acquaintances and
hopefully become a better informed owner/rider.
Not new to riding, I started out in the woods around 1972, shortly moved to the street
and have owned many different makes, sizes and styles over the years. My first serious
street bike was a chocolate brown 1972 Honda CB750 and have owned many of them over
the decades. Other bikes that have spent time in my garage several other sohc CB750, Suzuki
GS1000, Kawasaki KZ1000 and 1100, Yamaha V-Boost, Goldwing GL1000, 1100 and 1200,
Honda Valkyrie(the bumble bee), Triumph Legend, Adventurer and Speedmaster 900.
So heavy on the Japanese manufacturers but in more recent years have come to appreciate
more and more the Hinckley bikes.
Life has slowed for me now, and riding will be limited to short sunny afternoon excursions
and my Thunderbird will be rubbed on more than ridden. My current project is restoring a 1972 Honda CB750 K2. I am looking forward to new friendships in the Triumph community as well as this forum. Thank you for having me.
