This past Dec the wife and I bought new Tiger 900's, I got the GT Pro and the wife got the LRH. We are both getting on in the years and these may be our last big bikes before more scooters. We have both been riding over 52 years and many miles. The wife won the BMW solo female long distance award in 1979 on her R100. Me, I just like to ride and many moons ago completed the 1000 in 24. Neither feel the need for those miles any more, 200-250 a day now is plenty and in Europe that is pretty reasonable without highways. Some days will be much shorter as we like to explore the towns and local history.
Last summer we toured from Spain through France, Italy to San Marino Moto GP, then to Mandello for the Guzzi 101 anniversary and some alps riding. This summer with the new Tigers we are planning to head to Assen for the Moto GP and from there to Nordkapp for some extended travel time, 3-4 months. Looking forward to the ride. We will camp most nights but occasionally a nice hotel to catch up on things. Hope to see some of you along the way.
