When questioned why his camera wasn't actually connected he was told that he'll ever use it again as a couple of hours earlier he told his best friend to ride in front to be filmed for a while. Eight minutes later his friend was dead, all recorded, very very sad.
This is really sad and to have it on camera not so cool. :y8:
However I have not been one that believes in things like this. What will happen will happen no matter what. So if he believes that it happened because he was recording it I just don't go along with that.
I also don't believe in superstitious type of things, as usual I didn't make myself clear. What I'm warning about is that many people will push too hard if they think a camera is on them or are filming for mono's or great lean angles to post on forums etc, that brings people undone.

That brings up a question I have been meaning to ask of those who use these cameras,as I have been thinking of getting one myself.
Does the fact that you have a camera running have any influence on the way you ride.?
I would say at first yes.
But after a while you forget about the camera and just ride normally.
I have tons of footage, I just dump the movie file if nothing interesting happened. If you always ride with the camera then you will just ride the same as without it.
When you first get one, you're thinking about how cool this youtube video is gonna be. After a while you can't be bothered.
It's like a Xmas present - you play with it all day in the beginning. LOL

I like your comment.
About a year ago I was riding my favourite twisty bit of road and caught up with a small group of riders all with cameras mounted in view, I took the bait and carved them up in what I think was a spectacular way. Afterwards I got to thinking, I just took it to the limit for a camera and I'd never view the result. OK won't do that again (well I hope that's the case).
As you know i've just come back from sabie. I have over 100 gig's worth of footage that I need to go through. Did just over a 1040 km's over three days in and around Sabie itself.
I might stick some of them up on youtube if they're any good.
