Over this last weekend we had an outdoor expo and HD had their demo truck on site with a whole range of bikes to demo. As I have the flu bad right now I was in no state to ride especially a bike I was not used to. So I never got to try one out. In all my bike riding years I have never had a ride on a HD :y7:

Dave.....let it go buy the Tiger :y24:
I OWNED a Harley........I own a Tiger......not by mistake.
BUt seriously, hope your flu bug is gone, and true every rider should at least get one ride on a Harley in life.

Everyone needs to at least ride one once. I too have owned them and I now ride a Girlie. Would I ever own another? In a heartbeat, but right now the Girlie fills my street legal bike needs.

Oh, I almost forgot, Get Well Soon.

I had been looking forward to riding a few for a few weeks when I heard they were coming to town but I suppose now I will just have to wait for next time. I just wish Triumph had a demo truck this side as there are a few of them I would like to test ride as well.

Put it this way I have not taken any sick leave from work in a very long time and this week I am seriously considering it :y10: During the day it does not seem too bad after around 9am but then toward 4pm I am beat again. This winter has been a harsh one for us and I suppose I am lucky only getting flu now so as it warms up that will also help :y2:

Get well, my friend. Don't over do it; that just prolongs the misery.

Dave, I have bad news. THe Harley stealership 2 miles from my home is having a HUGE demo days event (complete with food and bands) today......while doing my usual Sat. running to the bank and hardware store (I am remodeling a foreclosure home to "flip" it......someday when the market improves lol) I stopped, I wouldn't have, but in your honor I felt I should "check it out".
1 mile from the dealership they where loading a very clean and polished dresser on a trailer.....he broke down.....didn't even make it to the dealership.....hhhhmmmmm..... anywho undaunted I continued.

About 75 people where all ready there .......the truck load of demo bikes hadn't arrived yet (they where running late due to "traffic" was the claim) but the waiting list for a ride was estimated to be 2-3 hours. (but hang out and buy some overpriced logo apparel or bbq sandwiches and 3.00 sodas. while you wait said the sales man)
I had originally thought if I could sling a leg over, at least a V-rod, or the "hotted" up new sporster and report my findings here......maybe they have improved since '92 when I had my Sportie........2 hours........then you have to go on an "escorted" route with 6-8 other bikes and escorts.......shoots my idea of playing in my neighborhood twisties to REALLY see how the bike handles all to heck......CURSES FOILED AGAIN!:y14:
So, disappointed, once more, by "THE" Motor company I continued to Lowes to get paint. I would rather paint my house than put around at 35 mph in a group.......

Just thought I would post up to say, your not missing much by not having a dealership and Demo Days event close. Unless you are "into" long waits and "controlled" tethered rides.....and overpriced BBQ. The band sounded good though :y2:

Uh oh...........:y148: I just realized I have my Riders of the Lost Empire shirt on!!!!!! I may just have been discriminated against!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2-3 hours wait my EYE!

Yes, I guess I was a little crazy to think they would just give me the keys to a new V-rod and let me "take off" with it........I understand they must have some controls or folks would be stealing them left and right I am sure. :y2:
I say find a friend who owns a Harley in the area and swap rides for an hour or so. TUP He will NOT want to give the Triumph back. LOL.
