Getting this derailed trainwreck of a thread back on track, I had to put my bike away for the winter.:ice2:
Went for a short ride(was a rather warm +6C today) of about 40 kms, changed the oil and stored it in the shed.
Just have to clean her up and wax the shiney bits and cover it up.
Sad day indeed.

There was a news article on TV the other night on just how many Newfoundland dogs have saved peoples live's due to their fantastic swimming abilities
Anyway

Glad that you managed to get one last ride in before the white stuff comes down in bucket loads.

Even sadder time for me, now.....................my local dealer is closing this month (only 10 minutes from my house); they were very good and I could always trust them to do the job right the first time. I think that it's more of a problem with their location and being unable to sell the property so that they could re-locate. Going to miss them. Gotta find out where the techs are going.........they were good.

I went over there today and talked with some of the people; there were lay-offs a month ago and while they couldn't find a buyer for their property, sales were just not supporting the business. I spoke with Jen, who took over the business from her dad, and she said that she "grew up" with the place, it having been there for 40 years; now...................... Too bad, just too bad.

Well....it was bound to happen......and it usually does.
We're having a short run of mild November days and bikes are out all over the place.
13C (55F) isn't exactly warm, but it's sunny and decent riding weather.
:ohwell: it won't last and I'll be glad that my bikes are inside where it's warm and dry.
It makes no sense to "un-winterize" a bike just for the sake of an hour or so - and then have to reverse it all again.
