I would say you've covered it all.
I have to do the same thing by the end of October. There aren't enough good riding days in November to bother keeping the bikes ready to ride.
I've already stored my two vintage bikes. The other two will soon follow.
I'm able to store my bikes in the basement for the winter so I change the oil; drain the carbs and gas tanks; remove the batteries and wait for spring.

Just 4C here this morning "as we speak" but heading for 18 and sunshine through Thanksgiving weekend so this could be the last good weekend for riding. Better get some serious wheel time in! :y2:

I got a great place in L.A. (Lower Alabama) I will sell ya for a song :y15: Year round riding, cheap insurance, and taxes, lovely beaches CRAP LOADS of national football championships (includes ANNOYING Univ. of Al. football fans EVERYWHERE!) and all the Lynyrd Skynyrd you could handle :y2:
They don't call it the Redneck Riviera for nuttin :y6:

A friend of mines parents moved from the PNW to Dothan to retire. I guess they like it pretty well. Is that considered LA? I know I'm going to have to look for a less expensive area when I retire, just don't have any idea where yet.

Looking forward to getting your winter-riding updates!

Winter riding? That just means means putting on a heavier jacket and leaving the mesh jacket in the closet. BGRIN
You sure know how to hurt a guy!!! :y2: :y15:
My mesh jacket was put away over six weeks ago!!!
The end is very near for me too. The mornings are in the 4C range and only getting up to maybe 13C.
We have a scheduled club ride on Saturday and that will be the end of organized rides for us.
Anyone who wants to ride into November is more than welcome to do so - and many do - but I'm not one of them!
No doubt we will get the odd mild day in November which is great for a ride, but for me it's not worth waiting for - and might not happen.

We're getting battered by a storm that stretches from the Gulf of Mexico all the way to the Canadian northeast.
The rain isn't too bad, but the gusting winds are high and causing lashing rain. A good day to stay inside.
But it's 15C(59F) so it's not all bad :y2:

It will be nearly a record high today - 88F/31C. :y2:

Wow! Hold those temps! We're moving houses here and have decided to spend at least part of Dec. in your lovely State. We'll come home for Christmas. Not too chilly here for this time of year. I guess some of your heat is making its way to our part of the world. +13c as we speak .
