I just found this pic and i never saw another one like this. It's got a lot of changes from the Tbird we've seen.Much sleeker, and my god i hope the one that actually comes to the showroom looks like this ! The rear fender looks worlds better, as does the brace. the front fender too. the headlight is different, the wheels are sleeker, the tank etc etc etc. It actually makes the one we've been looking at seem sorta clunky.
I found this pic in a cycle world article from november, and there are a buch of other pics but all others are the Tbird we've been looking at all along. This is the only one thats different. And tho i cropped it, the top of the pic said "baseline". So if thats what the final product will look like it will make it even that much harder not to go broke buying one !

edit: actually now that i think about it, tho it said baseline it looks like it's a highly accessorized one like the blue one in all the pics. Because it has chrome fork legs and the standard definatly doesn't have those because they are offered in the tbird accessories. And the bike at the shows weren't like this. So i'm pretty confused, but my god i love this one !

i would too but unforuntaly it was the only on like this. But if you put a right side view pic of the other bike next to it you'll see a lot of differences, all pretty much things we've commented about before in the context of wishing it were different. especially that back fender. On this one it has been tilted back so it's lower and the brace looks much nicer. the headlight is very different and exactly like i had hoped for. The wheels look larger in diameter with lower profile tires. The radiator looks much thinner. the tank and nacelle or control thingy ar slimmer and the badge is much nicer looking like one of those bonnie ones or such...much nicer ! totally different belt guard, primary drive cover, set shape more rounded, side cover more streamlined. Just totally refined and beautiful. I can't believe i'm saying this, but i like it more than that gorgeous accessorized blue one we've posted so may pics of....a LOT more. Put a pic of the stock one side by side and look at the difference...it's a whole other bike !
If it shows up on the dealers floor like that you can forget everything i said about possibly not being able to spend the money. I'd hock my family for this is i had one to hock. :) the last time i saw a bike that did this to me i bought it....my speedy. But this is not only as awesome looking but it's got the power.

i think it's a picture, but a studio shot so it looks very perfect. But it was a much smaller shot and i had to blow it up which may account for some of the look. In any case, it was in a cycle world article where triumph was interviewed about it and allowed cycle world to ride it, so i have to think it's a triumph supplied/approved shot. i'm looking forward to your thoughts once you see it. (you lucky dog !)

It does have chrome fork legs tho, so i think it's got to be accessorized to some degree. But a lot of the things i would love to have so i hope a lot of it is not. However, being that there is so much different stuff on it yet at the shows the bikes have been the other one which is a lot different, this becomes so confusing i can't even begin to guess at what this is. It seems as tho literally about 90% of the parts on the bike aside from the engine (and even there so covers are different) are totally different. I noticed too that the side covers appear to have gilled fronts if you look real close. I like that. It also needs mirrors, as bikes always look funny without mirrors. And I think with the shorties on the other bike this one would look perfect.

I'm going to see if i can get a phone # for triumph and see if i can get to the bottom of this. It's really got me crazy here !

I doubt it will be fruitfull, but i did find a number and i'm just going to wait a bit since it is not even 7am here and where they are i think it's just before 9.

If you have a look on the home page we have a world clock in the form of a map :ya2:

heres a comparison. You can see how radical the difference is. Even the pipes are different. Straight instead of kinked. Now if they were only shorter the bike would be perfect.

I know. And one thing that look so radical that it may not be possible w/o an entire frame re-design is the final drive cover. It's longer yet the front of it seems to be further from the cylinders which seems to suggest the engine if further ahead in the frame. This is bizzare. I called by the way and i was given over to a phone machine. figures. i can't keep calling them from work or i may get in trouble. maybe one more try later.

Well, unfortunatly that bike doesn't exist. I talked to someone at triumph who told me the mags often take a bike and touch it up to make it look like they'd want to see it. he said they have pics of other triumphs that the mags have done for them too. Looks like cycle world has a better eye for great lines then triumph ! well, hopefully triumph will take note and at least do some accessories for it like that back fender. Thats maybe the biggest improvement to me. darn.....now the real bike looks clunky to me !

Apparently so. It's amazing they can do that. It's not just a photoshop tweak of another photo i'm sure, yet if it's a full on drawing from scratch how the *&^% do they make it look so real ! Bummer tho. triumph should do that with the bird. I'd be willing to wait another year for that ! I'll tell you what tho....i will certainly take some ques from that pic myself and tey and mod mine (assuming i get one) like that any way i can. The headlight should be easy enough. maybe the rear fender too, as it would seem it just needs tilting towards the rear a bit.
