Wow, that's amazing!! I was one of the early members so I've been here almost as long.
Time sure does fly when you're having fun.
Dave, I'll bet you had no idea what you were about to start when you decided to do this.
We certainly owe you a lot, and a lot to Carl for all his help in guiding us through problems
I think if it were not for our founding members that gave us a chance when we started off we would never have been able to get to where we are now. It also set the trend on how the forum should run and to date we seemed to have kept to that trend having very few instances of any bad vibes going down here. We sure have been lucky with the boundaries that each and every new members just seems to take up when they join. TriumphTalk has been a breeze to run over these years, most time just being able to be spent on enhancing the forum and not sorting out issues between members. Most of the time our most drastic moderation are just to move a thread or two into a better forum area.
I too am amazed at how amicable this forum has remained. My thoughts are that those types that stir up trouble quickly see that it's so level-headed that they won't bother trying (I believe those who do that on other forums do it consciously).
Happy birthrate TT. It does not seem possible that it has been eight years already. Wow! I thank our members for making this a great fun, entertaining and informing forum. SALUTE to you all!
DaveM was the first, Keith Holt was the second; I think I was the third. Dave probably has the original list. The Seeker, 855i, Gary, and Merlin were original members, too.
Here are some of our first members that joined on January 5, 2006. Not bad at all for the opening day.

KeithH was active until about three years ago. Then he dropped out. He is doing fine still riding, but not as much. He has gotten married and has an increased role in the business.
Flatspins, Tom, was in a horrible helicopter crash in (Afghanistan (I think). He was severely burned and was in a burn unit in Utah the last account I had of him. He was a contractor over there. He saved at least two lives in that crash. I have sjnce lost his and his wife's phone numbers.
I think I remember Cagepasser selling his Triumph. I know that Lonzo sold his Triumph.
Meatwagon is still active on Brit Iron Rebels. He was in a bad motorcycle accident; but has recovered.
That is fantastic, I joined late in 2006 or middle of 2006, although it don't show on my profile. Was fairly active and then immigrated to Australia.
I sold the 675 and all other bikes as part of the move.
Been without a bike for a while and making a move like this is extremely hard and you focus so much on fitting in and adapting to your environment.
Dave and Carl were and still are my cornerstones, Carl has a super special place in my heart.
TT was the first forum I also joined and is one of the only two I belong to and let me tell you TT is AMAZING.
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you

Now for the next 80.........I will most probably not be around then but......but......you know what I mean.
Cheers Johnny
