Barney has a sweet Norton.

I would like to see his Norton. I love any classic Brit bike.

Thats about 10 minutes from my house and i go to it most years. I was at it this year the 1st of november. I missed Jay tho, as i left fairly early. It's a pretty amazing gathering of bikes. This year i didn't go on the ride. Well, i did go a ways, but i soon split off because it's a disaster waiting to happen and not really fun.

The video played choppy and erratic for me, but I still got to see some nice bikes.

Rocky.....try clicking the red HD button as soon as it begins to play. This video is in Hi Definition so it takes more bandwidth. Clicking that will switch it to normal definition (smaller file-size).

That looks like an event I could spend all day and more with. Some great bikes there and it was nice that the narrator seemed educated about them.

By the way, I have about 30 pics from the ralley, and if anyone wants to see them i can upload it for you. It's about 100 MB worth of pics.

That would be a great idea! I'm not sure about the size thing though. Maybe see what Dave has to say about it???

What i meant is i would upload a zip file with all the pics to a free hoster and anyone who wanted to see them could download them. At 100 MB tho i wanted to be sure some people would like that before i upload that big a file.

No problem carl. I like the brit stuff, but i like the old jap stuff a lot too. The suzuki titan was one of my favs. I noticed you uploaded one of those a year or so ago and i see it sometimes here as the pics above rotate. The 750 four was nice too. i'll never forget being in high school and seeing two rich kids ride into the lot on brand new honda 750's right when they came out. everyone there including me was green with envy. At that time i had my first bike, and old beat up used honda 160. darn rich kids ! :ya2: i wish i could find a similar event for old jap bikes.

I wish i had stayed longer and had a chance to see or meet Leno. That guy may be the luckiest guy on earth....all the money he could ever ask for and a love of all bikes ! His garage is a warehouse, literally !

If I had the money Leno has, I would do exactly the same. I like him.

At Barber Vintage Days each year, there is a big contingent of vintage Jap iron. You would enjoy that. For me as a purist, the vintage Japanese bikes do not do for me what vintage American and European iron does. That said, I like any vintage iron on two or three wheels. I would love to have Yamaha YDS3. I put many a mile on one. That was my first new bike back in '65.

I put most of my miles on a dozen jap bikes, so those 70's bikes are really nostalgic for me. Got my first, a 160 honda in '69. I began a love affair with 2 stroke after a short time and i have extremely fond memories. if i had the room i'd try and find a old suzuki, tho it would be hard to choose which one because i liked them all. But good chance it would be that titan. For 4 strokes tho, thats where i appreciate british bikes. But like you, i like em all, some just more than others.

The only Jap bikes I've ever owned were mainly off-roaders...a Honda Trail 90 (LOL), an SL-350, an Elsinore, and a Yamaha DT-250. I did have one street CB-350 for about a year.

BTW....I've downloaded the zip files, but with the holiday and all haven't had a chance to open them yet.
