It looks like it is hard to contain anywhere. But I agree; Africa will be more difficult.

Just be careful and protect yourself as best you can.

Yes its super contagious that is the difference ! ..... so im cheering my self up by MOT ing my bike on Saturday morning so at least i can have a spin weather permitting .

Living here on the edge of the earth I will probably be one of the last to be affected , but it was easy to get a nice parking spot at the mall and a tread mill at the gym yesterday . Hockey has been canceled !! The national women’s university championships are being hosted here , played 2 games last night , tournament was canceled this morning . A couple of hundred young lady athletes from all over the country with nothing to do but hang around the local bars this weekend. What a disaster !!

World over sporting events are being cancelled and we about to host an international Ironman in a few weeks. We thought that it would be a given that this would also be put off for now. I just read a press release this morning that it will still be going on.

I wonder how many of the contestants themselves will just rather pull out. I must admit I will not be going along to watch even if it does go ahead.

I refuse to worry about it if i get it i get it if not then thats that !!! ... i see no point in getting all worked up about it there's nothing you can do why spend the time fretting , im just going to carry on with a good old stiff upper lip :y25:

I must have been posting at the same time Dave so please dont think that was a response to your post .
but yes all the football is canceled here now and many other sporting avents .

I don't worry about it; I'm just trying to be careful to avoid contamination. I am not going to quit living and become a hermit. I did enjoy a lunch ride yesterday with MSTA; but I did not ride over to the Daytona Speedway. I chose to avoid the crowds.

Disney World and Universal Studios, both are theme parks are closing effective Sunday night for the rest of March. So far, Sea World and Lego Land are remaining open. Cruise lines have shut down.

The NBA has suspended its basketball season and the NCAA has suspended college basketball tournaments. NASCAR will continue it's season but may close the racers to the public.

We have just had a case in the town in which I live. A 68 year old man recently traveled to Egypt to take a Nile cruise. He is now a confirmed coronavirus victim. The hospital he went to is about a mile from me.

No cases in this province yet, but the province is ramping up facilities because it probably will get here eventually.
In the meantime, I'm living normally, but being a bit more vigilant about hygiene, hand washing, crowds, etc.
I had to go to see the doctor this morning for routine matters and couldn't wait to get the h*** out of that waiting room with all those sick people around me BGRIN
With hand washing at home and an alcohol spritzer in my car, my hands are pretty well covered.

On the news now they have decided to postpone this event, good move on their part. So far no reported cases in my province.

One case, possibly more reported in the Southeastern part of our Province.
People did not realize how contagious this virus was and so carried on with their lives and a lot went away for March break to worldwide destinations. This is what's causing a good amount of the spreading now
