Only wish I had the ability to make such things. My friend, Gavin who was responsible for the entire build made them. Nevertheless I'm delighted that you like them!

I'm having a bit of a problem with the electrics at the moment. The bike runs perfectly for a couple of kms then the motor cuts out ... totally dead. I've noticed at such times that the headlight, which is wired to the ignition switch, is also dead. My latest round of troubleshooting shows that the battery is charging at 18V at 3000 rpm. The bike has a new rectifier and zener diode but it seems that the zener is not doing it's job. I'm now considering fitting a Podtronic - any thoughts or advice from our technical boffins here?

I had the exact same problem with a 1973 T140 and I replaced the original zener diode with a aftermarket regulator/rectifier and have not had a problem in the last two years.
