Good afternoon to the TBird 900 people.

I am about to change the rear wheel bearings and Seal Ring Seals and was wondering if anyone has a cross reference for the seal and bearings.

This is what I see, but cannot find anyone on the web that offers such animals. This is what I have currently in place and what I show for Triumph part numbers:

Disc Side: Outer Seal Ring - BJN-C230527
Sealed Bearing - NBK Japan 3304DD
Triumph Outer Seal Ring Part #: - 3600021-T0301

Sprocket Side: Outer Seal Ring - BJN-C235626
Sealed Bearing - ? (as I haven't removed the outer Seal Ring yet!)
Triumph Outer Seal Ring Part #: - 3600022-T0301.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked with an industrial seller for your bearings. Will usually cost less than the "original". Just provide number on side of bearing. I know our local transmission shop sells bearings. Check them for seals as well.

Thank you Qship. I just thought someone on the board would hav the cross over numbers!

Yep, local bearing supply will have replacements, often of higher quality and better price. Seals, too
Mr. Dearborn is right about going to a bearing supply house. Took the sprocket/crush drive assembly apart and I have started making a list here of what the bearings are on my 1995 Triumph Thunderbolt 900. I see in my research that All Balls Bearings have kits and they fit a number of the Triumph’s. Only time and money!

These bearing houses will often have or can get bearings with a higher ABEC rating if one so chooses the cost is more and also from different places of origin ( USA,Germany,UK, or china ).

Here is an update on my search for wheel seals and bearings for the TBird 900.

All Balls are a lost cause, in that on a number of web sites they indicate that they have kits available but when you go to place an order, they are out of stock. Thus I have pretty much given up on this product, but then again, we are dealing with a 25 year old motorcycle.

I put out an email to four different Triumph dealers here in Western Canada and to date have only heard back from one, Island Motorcycle Company with an inquiry for the oil seals. Deliveries are not the greatest, but they are Triumph part numbers and are very reasonably priced.

I looked at the bearing that are currently in the TBird, and I will leave them alone for now, as the odometer reads that this motorcycle only has 33,000 km's on her. My suspicion is that the bearings will be fine and I am not planing on riding to Florida and back.
