54 G80 (12).jpg1963 Matchless G80 Special.

Sorry - missed one. This is a 1963 Matchless Single with a twist. Comments from you older experts is welcome.

I would have thought that you'd have got black so as to be colour matched top to bottom. As for the lid did it double up as a colander in your kitchen.
You did look a bit big for the H-D. You still have many nice things to say about it though, only 1 problem I couldn't see any. No just re read it, your boot fetish is still strong

:y24:
Actually Mad a colander would probably have been more protective than that "helmet". (THose where my pre-ATGATT days) ironically it was the mechanical malfunction (and tank slapper) on this POS that gave me the wake up call to ATGATT. So I guess it served its purpose, and yes I was bit "cramped" on the HD.
Sad SADthe paint job (which the pictures do not do justice) was a layered effect of color change paints blue to green purple to red and orange to gold, all layered with fish net over the surface, fish net removed and a layer of translucent black was "dusted" over it. The paint LOOKED like scales on a lizard and would shimmer and change color with the light. I have not found another like it since. This was when the "House of Color" first came out with the color change paints and they where like 200.00 a pint. But the fellow who did the work had the paint left over from a couple other projects.

Keystiger,
One thing I always had was a camera with me, but I still rue throwing out photos of bikes and people those many years ago.

Me too Carl. Now only my (fading) memory of bikes gone past is all I have. SAD
However, The Green Goddess is the most photoed bike I have ever owned. So I am getting better......or maybe she is just a damn fine bike:y15:

Anakie, you are presently correct, and I truly have NO excuse anymore as the dreaded CELL PHONE camera is ALWAYS at my side....so ......the "I forgot the camera" excuse really doesn't fly any longer......for me OR Carl lol
