We are in the thick of the storm now. Not bad so far. They were forecasting 15cms of the white goo with some ice pellets and freezing rain mixed in for good measure. Another big dumping coming Sunday. 15-30 cms. Yuck!
For Eastern Prince Edward Island the predicted storm has been a flop . As I figured , not much snow then rain to pack it down and cold to freeze it so it doesn’t blow around into banks . At best an inch or two more snow than we had previously so taking that as a win . Another system coming first of the week so will be keeping my fingers crossed , hoping too dodge another bullet .
Today is Birds in the Backyard Day apparently , according to CBC radio . We’re encouraged to bird count the back yard and send in the results . I guess because of our extreme climate change we have a lot of species that have moving up from USA to enjoy our winters , the Red Cardinal being the most notable . Until recently Robins were a sign of spring but no longer as they spend the winter here enjoying our lovely beaches and my Holly bush which this year bears a full crop of berry’s .
Next time I’ll use the thumbnail….
It’s a warm day here in Houston sort of! Actually very pleasant. At the MINI dealership getting my battery registered. Yeah. LoL. I check in and get a message from the general manager, they love my 2009 JCW and immediately wanted to buy it! LoL. It’s apparently in high demand. I tanked them and said no. LoL.
Had our second storm in 3 days overnight . Similar to # 1 not as much snow as predicted , rained overnight and turned cold today . An inch or two more added to the pile and no above freezing predicted until next Monday .
