7.30 AM, Sunday 6th, clear blue sky, light breeze, 15c.
As the day progresses the breeze will stop and will reach 20c or a bit over.
Looks like a bit of a ride is in order.

Did a long off-road ride on my Yam XT on Saturday. It was solid sunshine & about 27C :y2:.

After all the complaining I've done about the cold weather I got a sunburn on my face and neck from standing around outside yesterday at our annual spring swap meet!! I usually take a hat to shield the sun, but forgot to take one.
It's 4C at 7:00 AM, but should be 12C+ later so will suck it up and ride to Sunday breakfast. It's only about 7 km's and should be warmer when we leave around 10:30. Maybe we'll go for a ride later.

I got in a good ride yesterday. The high was 87F / 30 C. Today the high will be 92 F / 33 C and humid. I most likely will not ride. I have dad sitting duty today.

Brrrrrrr!

Our winter normally kicks in around the first week of May, but this year May has been surprisingly mild, until this morning. We're at one mile high altitude and when colder weather arrives it hits us hard. It was just 2C this morning- time to get the winter woollies out.

It's spring turning slowly into summer here.
It has been a glorious long weekend with temps in the 20 - 22C range.
In about an hour I'm going to ride down the coast 50 km (30 miles) for breakfast and then do a few coastal loops away from the main road along the Atlantic.

I said we'd just started winter, which is true (BTW it's up to 15C now at lunchtime). At our altitude, in the centre of a great land mass that is southern Africa, that guarantees us over four months of continuous wall to wall sunshine :y6:. We'll hardly see a single cloud between now and the end of September.

Then we'll have to get ready for summer again. It's tough, but we're up to it :y2:.
