Hello. I want to have a toolkit for travels like I had on my Beemers. Never really used them but a toolkit is a nice add-on warm fuzzy.

What should I include in that kit?

Is there a list of tools that are more important when going long distances?

Thanks for your feedback.

It depends on the condition of the bike. I rode my '81 Yamaha XS1100 on a cross country trip in 1998 and had enough tools with me to rebuild the engine on a picnic table.

If you're doing it on a vintage Triumph pre-unit take enough tools to smelt parts in a roadside trash bin.

You shouldn't need more than a screwdriver some combination metric spanners and a set of pliers for most modern Triumphs.
