Hi all,
I'm new here and came across this thread by K73LL14 back in April 2018 and I have the exact same problem.

I have a bit of a bizarre issue, or at least one that so far no one has been able to help with. When riding on the open road, usually travelling above 120kph and after doing 100km without break the accelerator suddenly stops responding. Everything else is operating fine, revving as normal but the effect is the same as if I had just let go of the accelerator and speed naturally reduces. But obviously I'm not letting go, I pull back on the throttle like crazy but no response until the bike comes to an almost complete stop, then suddenly it sorts itself out and works as normal.

Would anyone know if K73LL14 ever got the issue sorted. thanks in advance any help would be appreciated.

K73LL14 was last on the forum April 18, 2018, and never reported back. So, we don't know the results. In that thread, it was mentioned that he was aware of another Tiger 800 having the issue. I would imagine this did get back to Triumph, and they know how to fix it, now. To me, it sounds like a gremlin in the ECU software, in which case having your dealer load the latest software for your bike will likely solve your issue.

I would say its your throttle TPS ( throttle position sensor ) triumph have had a few issues with other models having the same problem , but i dont think its a big problem just a few dodgy ones here and there from what i can find .
