I know....I was having some much fun riding the roads I would BLOW BY something and think "I should stop and get a pic"....but by then I was onto another switch back or "S" turn and forgot......and then ....oh you get the picture...I didn't (lol) but YOU do ;)
 
Grabbed these today, all at one time in the past 5 to 20 years were gas stations.

Former Gulf and then Chevron Station . . . I did fill ME up while I was there.

Within site of this gas station is a church that has a cannonball in it from the civil war, above center window, 2nd floor.

For the what its worth dept. the gas station and the church are within a city block of each other and right behind the gas station is Dr Nutt's house he was a famous person of interest back before the civil war. A very smart farmer that evolved the cotton plant into a more useable plant and had something to do with cross planting cotton into the plant that is used today. I knew his great great great? granddaughter, we used to party together back in the late 60's.
