That's interesting, tune ECU now does the water cooled Triumph ECU? Iv'e bought a PCv FFSLucky Dog, I've heard great things about the 900 cam and think it will be a WINNER. Looked at the Raisch camshaft but 1400$ with a tuner, filter, X pipe included and the price was just too high. Rather do a bit here and there to keep impact to my wallet down. I mean the X-pipe and filter aren't even the brand or style I'd be going with and now that Tune ECU has cracked the Bobber then the PCV isn't really a necessity anymore.
Speaking of the Tune ECU and PCV anyone sharing maps on here or does everybody keep them close to the chest?

I'm all for tune ECU , freeware is the way to go! Almost any tuner will use it instead of a PCV of XV if you ask, the money you save on the unit can pretty much take care of the dyno and tuners time.Yes, I use Tune ECU on my 2012 Tiger 800 XC.

There is, but only doing more recent VIN numbers, not sure what the difference is, in terms of ECU, tune etcIs there a Tune ecu for the Thruxton R ? And a big welcome to you Burger Bob . If you ever make it to PEI I will treat you to a Boom Burger .
so right, the huge difference between neccesary transport (our car) and our passion (the bike) seems to be that we always want to wriggle around with it just to change /add a bit that closer meets our exact needs. On previous bikes for me it was always comfort and practicality (screens, luggage, mirrors, heated grips, bar risers) I even had to lower one. I find that ,on modern bikes at least, performance is harder and expensive. I would now , no longer de-cat a bike or change to louder pipes which are probably the easiest way to more grunt. I guess the move (in GB) towards 'sound cameras' on some well known bike routes are a pointer that the rest of our communities are unwilling to put up with loud pipes anymore. The de-cat thing now bothers me as climate change is looking us in the face. I get the change of cam----I researched this myself BUT for me its acceleration that matters most and even if you boost power on the T120 ----the limit is always going to be the fact that the engine with its heavy flywheel takes time to spin-up. Triumph has sussed this and for 2021 has lightened the T120 internals , also lightened the wheels for better handling. Unfortunately the changes don't tempt me enough to change . IF they had also added ,even 5 extra horses, it would have put me over the tipping point. sigh.You're on the right track. Make the bike comfortable for you first, then go for the performance.
