Well not "THE" end but I have 2 shifts remaining at work and I will be signing my termination papers and slip off into the world of RETIREMENT!!!:Champ: I will end my career 86 days short of making 41 years with the company. Tomorrow (Wednesday 26 February 2020) at 1630 I will begin 9 weeks of vacation/sick time and return to sign the papers on 23 April 2020 to actually begin my retirement. I may work part of my vacation time as an Outage Safety Technician (OST) to assist the plant and to gain further experience to allow me to work at other plants as an OST during there outages for a little extra bike money.

I'm really looking forward to spending my time with Glaurung the Golden, my Cardigan Welsh Corgi, getting the pen shop back up and running on a regular basis, finishing the Adventure build on my truck, and hitting the road for some great adventures on Jessica, my 800XC.

Now maybe I can get active here again. I've had to put in so many hours at work the past 6 years that I've not been able to be very active and my riding time has suffered and my health went in the dumpster there for a while. Hopefully I can get back to my former presence here on TT and on the road.

Nice to hear from you again, you sure have had a busy time these last few years. Normally you would think that towards the end of ones career you would start slowing down a bit.

I will be looking forward to seeing more of your adventures as we did in the past.

Great to hear from you hemi TUP TUP
Congrats on the pending retirement. You've been through a lot the last while and you deserve to have all your time to yourself - finally!
Wow, nearly 41 years is a long time!!! I put in 36 years so I understand how long that really is.
Now the fun really begins - and on your own time. Enjoy TUP TUP

Welcome back, Hemi. Hope to hear more from you now that you're ALMOST officially retired.
Miss the shenannigans and adventures. The sasquatches are still out there lurking, waiting.
Enjoy YOUR time now.

Just got home after my LAST scheduled full day of employment. . . . Let the pre-retirement vacation begin.

Wow!!!!!

What a difference a day makes. I woke up feeling better than I have in years. I actually slept great last night. I could really feel like a heavy weight had been lifted off my shoulders and chest.
That is a good feeling for sure! I am happy for you. I have found that I am just as busy as when I was working; BUT I am doing what I want to do and when I want to do it!

What a wonderful feeling!
This probably shows how much stress you've been under for years.
Sleep well, take a nap, surf the net, do chores, have a snack, make some pens, take a ride...……...whenever the h*** you want!! Freedom :Champ: :Champ: :Champ:BGRIN
Very well stated. TUP
