In the aftermath of this weather system we are experiencing some strange temperatures. This morning (1 month from Hurricane Season) we were down to 41 DegF. May 1st and we are having near winter temps?

The weather has gone berserk. California is experiencing Santa Anna and the resulting HOT temps. The relative humidity in San Diego was 3% yesterday.

MOT, you may complain about the rain in England, and I may complain about the cold and snow in Canada, but after looking at that awful devestation, we're pretty lucky to be where we are.
It's cold and raining again today, and I can't ride yet, but I think I'll stop whining about it. I have a nice warm and dry house - not something hundreds of those folks have now

Rocky your 100% correct, I'd bet those people who have lost everything would swap with you or I in an instant. One of the easiest things to do in life is to moan. As you said it's not till you see something like what's going on in the states, that you soon realize that you maybe haven't really got that much to moan about. I just hope that they'll be no more deaths. It must be frightening as hell to have almost 80 Tornado's that have the potential to come your way, and you can't do a thing. Doesn't bear thinking about
