Street Twin brake line

Hi, I am a new 2019 Street Twin owner. I’m trying to make my handlebar position more comfortable. I did quite a bit of research, and I’m going to start with what looks do-able ... but I’d love to hear if anyone has any experience with this.

I’m planning to install some 2” rox risers. I’ll see how that works, comfort wise. If I feel like the slightly wider street scrambler handlebars would be better, I’ll get those in the future.

I understand I’ll have to install a longer clutch cable (street scrambler) and reroute the brake line. My question right now is, if I take the bike to a dealer for this - should I have a backup plan for the brake line. In case they mess up the rerouting?

If so, would a brake line extender work for backup, or would a whole new brake line be necessary?

A competent tech should have no problem rerouting the brake cable. My preference would be a new, longer brake cable rather than an extender. I prefer fewer couplings.

The problem is that, when replacing the brake line, the Street Twin is ABS and the bleeding process requires access to a computer programme to open the ABS unit. You need the programme and a plug in Bluetooth connector.

But would a brake line extension (1.5”, 6”, short size as needed) installation require the extra ABS work?
