An internet acquaintance in New England had the misfortune to have a tree blow over in a wind storm and crush his garage.
Inside was a car and two motorcycle. The car only suffered very minor damage and the bikes escaped completely unhurt.
If the tree had fallen on the other end of the roof the result may have been a lot different.
This is the result after the tree had been removed.
I had two very large maple trees in my yard that could easily hit my house, garage and either neighbour.
After hurricane Juan passed over us in 2003 both trees survived, but I lived in fear of other storms as the trees grew larger so a couple of years ago I had them taken down.
It was painful to see those beautiful trees being destroyed but it had to be done. The risk was just "growing" greater every year
