Great to be here in the "Land of Year Round Riding".
Rode from my home to the Stockyards in Fort Worth to meet some fellow riders for a little BBQ.

If it was 0c / 31F I'd drive the car or sit at home hungry.
The coldest it get's in these parts in mid winter is +10C and that's cold enough for this little black duck.

And now in all honesty I'm jumping into the pool, 5.30PM and I've been working at my daughters place all day and I owe it to myself, after that it will be two beers before dinner.
A motorcycle event and 0C, I've got one word for you "TRAILER".
We have an annual ride on New Years Day here called the "Penguin Run".
It takes place no matter how cold or how much snow is on the ground.
I've been on this ride in 2f (-16.7c) temperature.

If you think that's cold, there is a group of people who jump in the Ohio River at the point in Pittsburgh every New Years Day too.
Sometimes they have to walk out on the ice close to shore to get to the water!

I do go no matter how cold it is, but I don't go if the roads aren't dry and clear of snow and/or ice.

We also have a bunch of nitwits (Polar Bear Club) who jump into the harbour on New Years Day.

I have seen videos of the various polar bear clubs. That is not for me.

In Canada....those are REAL polar bears however!

I was told by one that used to do the polar bear dips when he lived up north that the dip in the water was actually warm, the water temps were above 32F (0C), it was the 0F (-18C) temps that were brutal while wearing speedo's. My thought was the sight of him in a Speedo was brutal.
