Our first blast of winter

You know it's going to happen, you just don't know when.
I woke up this morning to -8C(18F) temps with a wind chill of -17C(5F) and a slight dusting of snow on the street CRY
Oh well whatcha gonna do!! It is what it is, but the forecast is for 8C(46F) on Monday and Tuesday.
So goes the yo-yo temps around here!

Yes, it does that a lot here too. Very dangerous for driving. I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to go out in it.
When we get bad weather, freezing rain, snow and all sorts of foul winter weather, I'm content to remain at home with my bikes in the basement and my car in the garage
If I have to remove snow from the sidewalk and driveway, I can work at it at my leisure.

Just this morning watching Sky News I noticed that the temps had dropped in the UK. Today I had to wear a jacket to work as it was a bit chilli 16c going up to only 21c

We have had a bit of a cold snap here. It only got up to 70 F yesterday and today it will reach 74 F.

We've already had some snow on several days this year - although nothing much to mention.

I'm glad the Allegheny Mountains shielded us from the huge blizzard that hit only a few hundred miles South of us.

I woke up this morning to +26C (approx 79F). I'm sitting in only shorts and I'm thinking that after a second coffee I may take a dip. I'm not trying to upset anyone.

It's now 9.55 PM and exactly as early this morning, +26C (approx 79F). An hour ago I turned the pool lights on and cooled down nicely, the funny thing is the water is +28C but it's still refreshing. It got up to 33 C (approx 85F) today and my wife had the air-con turned on in the living room. My old dog quickly moved to the centre of the living room floor, she aint silly.
