Good day today so threw the boat in the tide.
Headed out in the direction of one of my snapper haunts, and went to turn on the sounder and gps, only to discover while chasing down an electrical fault in the motors trim/tilt system the other day, somehow I had lost power to the electronics.
I wasnt going to try and trace wires out there, so did it like the old days and just drove up the coast and out till we were well away from other boats and dropped the pick.
Dont ask me how I picked the spot, but the first snapper came on board within 5 miutes of the anchor and berley pot going down and we had our quota of 10 each in an hour and a half, all measuring between 32 and 36 cm (5 to 9 cm above the min size.)

a pic of the bilge in my boat.

The downside was, without having the gps working,I was unable to take a position so I can go back some time, so I did it the old fashioned way and photographed some land marks. :y2:

Nice catch you have there. Some times not having the electronics can be a blessing. TUP

Come on Harry, every redneck knows how to make the spot. . . you just paint a red X on the side of the boat and you have it there the next time you go fishing. TUP
