I need to change the tires on my Bonnie, but I would like to replace the original Metzelers for something with a more “classic†look like on the photo below.

My dealer claims that t will make the ride less comfortable and noisier.
What brand/reference would you recommend?

I don't know what type of riding you do or in what conditions you ride; but these two factors are what I consider in buying tires. I need a tire that sheds water pretty well and that holds up to miles of riding on hot asphalt. I want it to be soft enough to allow for moderately hard cornering; but the compound needs to be hard enough to stand up under miles of hot asphalt pavement. Tread design is essential for grip on wet roads.

The tread of the tire in photo looks really retro - much like the universal tread mounted on US west coast Triumphs in the 60's. The east coast Triumphs used the classic ribbed pattern on the front tires. I run the universal pattern on my '68 Trophy which is great for the sandy roads on which I ride. Make sure that the tread pattern will give you the grip you need for your style of riding.

Following the suggestion of my dealer to replace the original Metzeler I bought Dunlop Trailmax Radial D607
Front: 100/90 19
Rear: 140/80 17

Does anybody have experience or information on these tires?

I have only used Dunlop once and that was on my off-road bike. It was the best I have ever had on the bike. Gripped like nothing I had ever had both off-road and on road. Not much help here but that is the only time I have used them. I normally just go with what the bike was manufactured with.
