I ride a 2015 Bonneville T100; ride about 10,00 kilometres a season; mostly 2-up the last couple of seasons. Time to replace the rear tire again. I have always had the same model of Metzler tires that the bike came with but it seems no one has the Metzler Z2 130/80 R17 m/c 65H rear tires in stock.
I avoid the expressways/freeways if I can but do occasionally travel on them if necessary; no long high speed expressway riding for me; the Triumph and me are happiest on the secondary roads
Now the dangerous question; any suggestions on an alternative rear tire? I appreciate that everyone feels that the tires they ride on are the absolute best but I do need some guidance.
A secondary question; does anyone know whay the bike came with a radial tire on the rear and a bias ply tire on the front? on a car this would be a bad idea.
Tertiary question; what would be the result of changing the front tire from bias ply to a radial tire?
I await the deluge of responses
