Bear I find the Speedmaster so easy to handle and it is not heavy on you at all when you trying to move it around. I am sure you will find the America the same and a lot easer on the body than your Hog. The other upside is we will be seeing more of you on the forum :y2:

hey,65t120R
What I didnt mention in my first post re the 07 was
- the alloy wheels,(goodbye tubes )
- and re efi,)7 was still carbed with the carb fuel tank,08 was still carbed but with the new EFI tank (wider and squatter ) and 09 up was efi.
Then in 11 the cosmetic changes came in again with the wider front rim and me 880 front tyre, different guages, lights and guards.

Bear, really good to hear from you. That sounds like a very piratical switch. My daughter rides a Speedmaster. She is is 5'3" and slender; she has no trouble moving the Speedy around.

Will look at that and keep it in mind for sure. Pricing of my next ride will be a big thing too. TUP. Thanks once again. Just gotta get this first one done then onward.

Go for it. You won't regret it.

Ya went looking in Craigslist in my state just for schizllez and giggles price shopping and seen some nice Triumph America's from 2004 to 2008 in the 4.5k to 6k range. All looked like the style I am looking for. I will also be checking out the dealerships in The Valley close to me seeing what they can find and come up with too. If I go into a dealership it will be with cash in hand and I'll simply tell them "This is how much I have in cash and I want my bike at this amount out the door and done or no deal". With a private owner I would have to deal with a headache but a dealership at least they checked it out but with a private owner I could beat them down. It is a balancing act. Already figured in one year I can have the 5k saved and ready to go shopping after my Rigid is done and hopefully finalized by the end of this year. Rigid is on a $375.00 a month budget.

First though gotta complete my Rigid and then save for the America. TUP

I sat on both the America and the speedmaster, they were side by side on the dealers floor, without a long test ride I would be perplexed on which one I would like the most..the bars on the America were just about right for me, the speedmaster bars would probably be a little reach maybe, at my age I need to try to be as comfy as possible..

There is the deal as we get older comfort is king. TUP
