No. My father's family line comes from Skåne/Scania (Sweden's southernmost region ... old land's of Denmark). My mother's family lines can also be traced back to Sweden (in the 17th century), when they moved to here Ostrobothnia Finland from the Uppsala area (Sweden). Naturally, afterwards this familyline of mine got mixed up with other Finno-Swedish families here in Western Finland. I therefore have to have some Finnish genes, but not directly Sámi.Arctic Fox,
I don't recall if you said you are of Laplander heritage, or just live in an area with many Laplanders. Might you be familiar with this radio station from Norway: NRK Sápmi - NRK Radio. It is one of many from Norway Public Radio, but it focused on the music of the Saami (Sapmi).
