Bike of my dreams. Great to ride, comfortable, feet touch the ground, aftermarked muffler has a wonderful sound. Everytime i stop for a coffee or fuel up people come and talk about my bike. My husband on his new BMW gets no comments. Love it.

One problem is I get frozen hands. Only hand grip warmers I've seen are too thick for my little hands. Can anyone help with locating warmers of the same diameter as the standard grips??

Hello Sarah welcome to the forum BBEER. Gromit should be able to help you with some info on grip warmers as she was doing some looking into this for her Bonnie a while back, she is our technical guru and just know these things :y2:

Oh and BTW

:worthless:

Hey Sarah - I have a Bonneville T100. Same thing - everyone comments on how beautifully my bike has been 'restored' and blah blah whilst hubby stands around with the Tiger or Scrambler getting no comments :-)

I looked for heated grips for a long time but wasn't really happy with any of the aftermarket stuff. Eventually I bought a pair of heated gloves - they're actually oil riggers gloves used by guys working in Alaska - anyway, I bought a pair of xxs off the web and they fit comfortably over my normal winter gloves. Each glove is powered by a 9v battery and the batteries are housed in a clip-close pouch on the cuff of each glove - easy on, easy off and no wiring hassles.

GumpT - do these switch off automatically when you turn the ignition off? I'm unfortunately notorious for not switching off properly and FS is tired of pushing my bike.:y5:
Which is why I like my gloves - they go with me when we stop so no chance of running the bike battery flat.

Sarah, easy fix for the cold hands, move on up to the "Big Island". :y15: I actually love your little island but only in summer. I also like your choice of bike. Welcome.

Yes, I took the live feed for the grips from the live to the side light, so it turns on and off with the key.

Sarah, welcome to the forum from Florida, USA. The Bonneville is a fine ride; good choice. TUP

I prefer heated gloves over heated grips. The gloves keep the back of your hands warm, not just the palms. Plus I ride four different bikes and I can use the heated gloves on which ever bike I ride.
