Firstgear Laguna Mini GPS Tank Bag

I didn't want a GPS hard-mount system that I would have to transfer from bike to bike. My Trophy has very little room to mount such things on the handlebars anyhow.

And I didn't want a huge tank bag.

Magnetic was important to me (although this also has strap mounting for extra holding power) so I can transfer it from bike to bike quickly and easily.

I'll never use the fannypack feature, but I can throw this into my lockable panniers without using much room.

It was only $45.95.

Will review it when it comes in the mail.

Shane will attest to the fact that Trophy handlebars are sparse as far as finding anywhere to attach any type of hard mount.

Where they bend downward, there is a kind of a brace so it's not round at all.

The ONLY place there is room is on the left side inside of the switch housing and clutch lever attachment....and even there it's very small width-wise.

So if I did that, it would be almost a permanent thing, but this way I can quickly even add it to my T140V if I ever want to.

Plus, it offers some protection from the rain for the GPS.

Definitely another thought that crossed my mind.

I had actually thought about making a GPS bracket somehow using the stem of a mirror cut-off and screwed into the mirror hole that's part of my clutch lever bracket (but plugged). The Trophy has it's mirrors attached to the fairing, so it's not being used. I was going to use a mirror, saw it off, and then adapt a GPS holder to utilize that.

LOL!!!

You know...I'm not even sure what I need a GPS for??? It's not as if I ride anywhere unfamiliar!

I guess I'll just have to take a trip to someplace I where can get hopelessly lost??

Oh....and check on eBay too!

Didn't Keystiger also say we could use his discount at the Motorcycle Superstore? I think they carry that brand.

One of those places I just bought from had a pop-up saying that my purchase made me eligible for a $100 discount if I completed their survey. So I figured I would.

When I got to the end it said to click here to choose my $100 discount. It was a page that I was to choose 4 magazine subscriptions. There were some good magazines in the offer and I almost went through with it. Then I read the fine print (you had to click to get to that). It said all the magazines would have an automatic renewal subscription after 1 year!! Forget that!!

seeker you are spot on ! there is no room for any kind of hard mount on the trophy .
if you look at my pics in out for a spin in groups ,in the loch ness trip i use a sucker mount for my sat nav system ,it workes great !TUP

I HATE those gimmicks. I would not see the popup as popups are disabled unless I specifically allow them.

My No Script also doesn't allow them. However, this was one of those things which appears over top of the page you are on while it grays-out the background of the page. So maybe the term pop-up was the wrong phrase to use, but my pop-up blocker and no script didn't stop it.

I really didn't mind the short survey on their service and I thought I was going to get a $100 off on my next purchase......it just didn't say it was going to be in the form of magazine subscriptions.

I'll have a look at the pics.

I haven't seen a suction cup type GPS mount for sale anywhere and I looked at what seems like 100 online places.

mine is a navman it is a car satnav so it comes with the sucker mount as standard, and fits the trophy screen great ! and gets protection behind the screen.
but it is not water proof ! but i just put it in a little plastic bag and tape at bottom ,still works great and clearly visible :y2:
