Rahal's is a class act. My car is always returned to me washed and with Bobbie Rahal branded bottled water in my cup holders. They've always got coffee, tea, and pastry in the waiting area. Plus, they've towed my car (flat bed) for free when it's broken on the road and given me either a Jag or Rover as a loaner for free.

I have to say however that the new service manager leaves me wondering if I can trust what he says. He talks to me as if I don't know anything. The old manager, Johnathan and I had a good rapport. He and I both have restored British sport cars and he too drives an old Triumph TR-6. I even sold him an extra set of wheels for his.

That sounds a lot like the Subaru dealer here. Customer comfort and relations is obviously important to them.
As for the new service manager - maybe in time he'll come around.

I doubt that..... he basically told me to buy a new car! Tried hard to talk me out of repairing it.

He said they road tested it and the tranny slipped badly and that my throttle body was shot.

Well....I said you couldn't really have road tested it and found the tranny slipping while the TCM was in "limp mode". Plus, there's nothing wrong with the throttle body (he said they found codes). I have a good code reader and there were no codes at all.

I was proven correct when they installed the new TCM and the transmission didn't slip a bit.

And...there's no codes.

Yes, I'm disappointed now that Johnathan has been replaced with a pseudo-salesman posing as a service manager.
