I needed a couple of parts for my BSA, and wanted to test fit the reproduction parts first, so I took a drive up to British Cycle Supply this morning. Once I get on the four-lane it's about a 45 -50 minute drive. Wayne and Gary who work there are great guys and know their stuff. I would liked to have ridden up to BCS, but it's only 7C and drizzling rain :(
I got what I wanted, so on the way home, I have to drive right by the Triumph dealership. I hadn't been there since last summer and wanted to check out the stock. The showroom has been expanded a little and I think they had one of every Triumph model on the floor - as well as Royal Enfield since they're now a dealer. How can you not walk through a showroom like that and not lust for everything!! The owner's wife is head of sales, and a great gal, and she kept encouraging me to sit on this; sit on that! I'm glad I already have my Bonneville or I probably would have had a new bike today :p

That was your chance for new Scrambler! :y2:
Funny you should say that. When I got home and turned on the PC, I had an email from a club member who is selling his 2010 Scrambler.
He's quite a bit younger than I am, but apparently has health issues and needs to part with the bike.
If I didn't already have the Bonneville I might be interested.
But to be honest, I prefer the Bonneville over the scrambler anyway.

Oh, yes, the suspension mods made a new bike out of it. The improved handling is awesome.
Yeah, all those years I was reading on forums to change this and change that, but I waved it off.
But I trusted your word over all others; thought about it for a while and then decided to go for it.
What a difference!!

It looks like the weather is going to finally break as it was warm and sunny today - that is until the fog rolled in around 3:00 PM!!!!!!!
I prepped the old BSA and brought it back outside for the first time since last October; last in; first out.
I gave it a tickle on the old Amal carb and it roared to life on the third kick.
We have a club ride on Saturday so I'll be ready to go.
The other bikes will follow in due course.
