Simple bikes, 2007 and earlier carburetor models are somewhat simple. If I had space and money I’d get a fancy new one as well, but since I don’t a 2005 was my choice. The ability to repair was my major consideration in selecting my motorcycle. I knew a new one was out of my price range and ability to repair easily. No doubt one can learn if access to more tools and repair manuals is available.

After thinking it over ive put bike up 4 sale, if anyone is interested let me know .ive listed it in the 4sale fourm . i really liked this bike but just so dissapointed in the realibilty , i have it back from the dealer now it runs excellent , looking at other bikes just not sure if i will go the triumph route again.

No motorcycle is perfect for sure. Good luck on selling @blkbird . I was certainly in for a few surprises on my 2005 Thruxton, but then again I bought it out of state without personally having had a look. Some of the disappointments turned out to be things I could learn from and directions I was willing to go toward and pass myself. Totally deleted the emission stuff that was half deleted in California. LoL. Wasn’t required here. Learned to fix things that were neglected and generally made the motorcycle my own. I’ve had injuries and surgery that kept me from riding, but the Triumph was something I could slowly work on and do my mods. It is in short the perfect motorcycle for me. I've been having some double vision issues so called my retired optometrist for a recommendation . I went to the new guy who ignored my 2x problem , he gave me a new prescription and informed me that I needed new new glasses . My glasses are less than 18 months since purchase , same company this guy works for . Bill was $130 cdn . Lots of things are expensive . He was English but I didn’t get into Triumph issues , bill might have been even higher .
