I've read somewhere that the centre stand works with the Zard low exhaust - at least on the XC. Triumph don't offer a centre stand for the XE afaik.
Apparently Hepco-becker makes a center stand for the XE.. They also make one for the XC. Price is less than the Triumph version, but not by much.. In USD 305 vs 260..

Which model do you suggest as a travel bike for scrambler?
I like the XE obviously but either XC or XE, you see I had a Thruxton R and loved it I was willing to tour on it but I didn’t want to venture off the blacktop and my mate do so I got the XE and I’ve never looked back it’s roomier and opens up a lot more roads as now I don’t turn back when we hit dirt and n the bitumen it’s as good on the twisties as the Thruxton

Well, I guess I paid 'drug money' for my Zard exhaust.

But it was well worth it for me.

There is nothing I did and nowhere I went on my previous bike, a Super Tenere, that I wouldn't do on my XE but there's places I'd go on my XE where I wouldn't have taken the S10. As to 'Adventure bike' - that's marketing. The ride is the adventure, not the bike.
Rocky, I have missed the obvious here with the high pipes I cannot or an limited to one pannier and being able to saddle up wit both sides is really the most practical
