......and I don't mean Kyle Petty or Kyle Busch of NASCAR racing fame.
Tropical storm/hurricane Kyle is expected to pass over our fair province Sunday afternoon or evening
By the time he gets here over our cold north Atlantic waters the storm is expected to be well down graded and only heavy rains and gusting winds are expected. Nonetheless, we're being told to expect tree damage.
I have everything loose taken in and everything buttoned down so it's just a matter of waiting.
It was five years ago this very weekend that Juan hit us like a ton of bricks and the damage is still evident in places.
And so it goes.

Thats all ya can do is wait......once ya got everyhting sorted out that you need to with the house etc. just a matter of just that.....waiting....

We are thinking of you, rocky. I have been following Kyle's track and two days ago I looked at it and though, uh oh, he's gunning for Rocky. Many folks in Florida along the St John's River basin are still flooded from Faye.

This is the first hurricane warning in 17 years for Maine, and then the maritimes, so be careful, Rocky. You have already taken the main precautions in getting loose things under cover. :y115:

Let's hope that the colder water hinders any further growth. It seems very strange that those of us in Florida are warning/reminding you in the maritimes to prepare for a hurricane.

Yes indeed, it is strange to be receiving warnings about storms from Florida - as place that gets hammered every year.
Kyle is almost upon us, but appears to have stayed on track to the west of the province.
Here in Halifax where I live we'll get quite a bit of rain and gusts to 50 mph. That's enough to break branches since the leaves are still on the trees and have not turned to fall colours yet.
This is a city of trees so there may be some damage and power losses. It should be an interesting night.
Just sittin' 'n waitin'.
