Well if we hadn't done a little 'side deal' with the machine driver, the quote we got to hire the machine was ZAR10 000 plus labour! This was a bit of a schlenter deal so only a couple of hundred :y10: I'll never make that mistake again!
 
Yeah, we were really lucky. AND, they have a ton of good soil at the construction that they need to get rid of so we said that if they'll come and fill the hole at no cost, they won't have to pay to take the soil to the municipal area - so we get the hole filled too! With decent soil.

Well the koi-garden is starting to look great! Busy cleaning out all the creepers that took over during the quagmire stage, cleaning the rocks and what was the cascades and drawing up plans for planting :y2: I'm not sure what I want to plant in the area but I do know that purple iris lillies will play a part - other than that, I'm still working on it. Will do photos when it's done.
