Rolled out my America EFI out the workshop this morning. The usual warm up whilst I put on my jacket, etc.... Well not a sound from my pride and joy!

Strip off the cover around the battery and it turns out the positive cable lug to the battery has sheered in two. Its a substantial size of cable but I'm stuck with a short length of 2.5mm cable as a make shift till I can get a new connection crimped on. The bike starts but I roll it back in the workshop just in case the 2.5mm cable gets too hot.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the following:
- 2.5 mm takes a max of 20 amps, I think?
- ignition main feed fuse is the largest at 30amp.
- can I rely on the 2.5mm to get me 35 miles to the bike shop, without melting, to crimp a proper lug it?

Please ignore this message. A friendly neighbour gave me a thicker cable that supports 30+ amps.
