Can any body help concerning the fuel tank mounting on the storm

i recently lifted the fuel tank to secure some sat nav wiring and whilst the tank was lifted a rubber mount fell off. I found the location of the rubber mount (I think) but on the opposite side there was no rubber fitted, should there be one or does the bike only have the rubber on the left side.

Are there any pictures around showing the tank lifted and the mounts I refer to ?

any help appreciated

I f you click on the pic on this page it will zoom in so you can see it a lot better. http://www.bikebandit.com/2011-triumph-thunderbird-storm/o/m154430#sch750797

I assume you mean the ribbed looking mounts which as you can see are on both sides. So you may be missing one. Could be sitting on top of the valve cover. I would lift the tank again and see if it's in there somewhere. If you scroll down that page you'll see the mounts, part # 23 on the list, are.....GULP.....$16 each ! Not too bad for $.05 worth of rubber eh? :y2: Triumph can really ream you on parts a lot of the time.
