Went to see my Dr. today, i have failed another prostate biopsy, i had a Colan cancer operation along with radiation and chemo therapy 14 years ago, now i am going to have my prostate frozen rather than removed
by surgery in order not to have to wear a urine bag the rest of my life. It seams that rad. along with chemo will "glue" the Colan, battler, and maybe other organs together and if you went the surgery route a hole mite be torn here and there, freezing will kill the prostate and the body will absorb it. Another one of my dreams smashed, i always wanted to be a porn star.

As DaveM said this treatment is also new to me. I just did a Google search and from what I saw it looks like a good new way to treat your problem.
Good luck and positive vibes going your way from me.

Thanks all, old age is a bitch! I will be able to put this off for awhile [its slow growing] the weather is getting beautiful and I'm going bike riding for a while. Dr said that was fine, when the weather turns in Nov. or Dec. they will take care of it.

I was reading about freezing the prostate in the doctors office a couple months ago but didn't understand half of the article. I had picked up the medical journal with hopes of seeing the results from plastic surgery but all the dern thing had in it was a bunch of writing.

Doctor's trade magazines suck. Heck it's like you have to have some kind of advanced degree to read it.

Good luck with your procedure. Our thoughts and prayers for a successful outcome.

Strange, we in the backwaters of Australia get blood results overnight.
The pathology car picks up blood twice a day and electronically sends results by 9.00 am next day. Naturally some special tests require a number of days for development of cell growth etc.
While I'm at it I may as well rub this in ... all free with our national health system. :y13:
