Makes sense.

However, you must admit - the activity of non mods is pretty low.

I'm not sure how that's calculated, but accepting it's true.....

There's nothing stopping the non-mods from posting to their heart's delight. In fact, I'd venture to say that all the mods would love to see the non-mod posting activity increase 20 fold if not more.

I hope it's not anything the mods do or say that inhibits them??

I agree completely.
We encourrage and invite all members to jump in and participate, but to do so or not is their choice.
All new members are given what I think is a pleasant welcoming, and I don't think any of the mods have ever done or said anything to put people off.
This is a very civil and easy going group here.
The mods and a few others are the "regulars" here so naturally their post count is high. Can't do anything about that except for the members to start posting and take part.

One of the joys to logging in here every day is that I expect the good humor and civility that is the hallmark of this site.
We've had a couple of ups and downs, but overall this is a great group of guys and gals who enjoy a laugh and are always willing to help with a problem.
Life is too short for the silliness, back-biting and pissing contests you often see on other forums.
None of that here - and we're very proud of that TUP TUP

Totally agree. First thing I do in the morning is to log on and check the activity.

Well! What a lovely thing to say! :D

People here are not trying to impress anyone. They're real people. We just pitch in when we can to help other bikers or talk two wheels.

But watch out for that Shane guy in Scotland! He's got access to wood chippers and stuff........ :)

Thanks, and I think The Seeker is correct we have all been riding bike longer than what we can remember and we have nothing to prove so we all just help out and take people as they are. We also don't get over heated if a thread does not meet our personal preference and adopt the attitude if I don't want to read it don't click on it :y2:
