I feel the post ratio of Mods/Admins to Non Mods/Admins is about 10:1. Was this place out of control at some point and needed an army?

Gotcha. Also, thanks for the thread move - I'm obviously illiterate and didn't recognize the word "Lounge". Hahaha.

Another thing we did with the moderators is try and get an equal representation from each country where we have members. This helps us with any cultural posts that may crop up and understanding them so as to not moderate anything that maybe just a misunderstanding due to our cultural differences. This seemed to work great at times.

Holy good idea Batman. I feel like if some other forums I'm on did that there would be a little more harmony.

Reminds me of my younger days after a Friday (or Saturday, or Sunday, you get the point) night.

One of the joys to logging in here every day is that I expect the good humor and civility that is the hallmark of this site.
We've had a couple of ups and downs, but overall this is a great group of guys and gals who enjoy a laugh and are always willing to help with a problem.
Life is too short for the silliness, back-biting and pissing contests you often see on other forums.
None of that here - and we're very proud of that TUP TUP

I'm confused.

How could anybody misunderstand our :y63: culture?

Mods are also put in charge of forum sections where they would have most expertise. For example GP the professional classic bike restorer is in charge of the classics section.

I also think mods were the most active posters and that activity got them asked to be mods in the first place.

Makes sense.

However, you must admit - the activity of non mods is pretty low.
