Well I had a go at fixing it today. Once I had chipped the tiles away around the crack and started scraping into it it would seem that it had been repaired in that spot before. A soft cement type substance was easily scrapped out to revel the crack and the stone like pool wall. It looks like the only way to remove the actual pool wall wopuld be with a grinder it is so hard. Anyway I managed to get all the old repair filler out and filled it with the putty as above. Sorry no phoptos just could not get the camera into a position to take any.

I also went far down into the water below the leak line and refilled it. So tomorrow its filling the pool again and I sire hope the leak is fixed.

well it sounds like you did the right thing so I hope it works for you.
If ya need some water it bucketing down here at the moment,Ausi has just sent over all its reject weather.

Well it looks like I also got in just in time as it looks like rain. I have put the overflow pipe from my water tank into the pool now so if it does rain at least that water will help fill it up. Tomorrow I will start empting the water tank into the pool to fill it to the normal level. I have not seen my pool in such bad shape in the last 13 years the water is green and loads of dirt in it as the pump has also been switched off due to the low level of the water. I don't even want to look out the kitchen window right now as that is all I see BLUSH

Dave, I hope your repair is successful. I fully understand what the pool looks like after being shut down. I went through the same thing when Mabel's pool had the leak. It is just plain ugly to look at.

Hi Dave, your are a brave man to swim in a pool at 7c. Waiting for 24-26c. Have not been in my pool since last summer. Zoe, my labradore is swimming every day. Even in winter

Well so far so good it does not seem to have dropped. However when it came to turn the pump back on it just would not suck water so after a bit I found that the one rubber seal was leaking and sucking in air. So its off to the pool shop today to get a replacement rubber
