I like the guzzi. However my friend had one, couldn’t get parts so went to trade but dealer wouldn’t take the v7. Another has a stelvio and can’t get rid of that either. I’m happy with my bonnie.
 
I am just reliving my youth with purchase of a Lemans MK111, I had one from 1987 to 1997, this one is a bit of a roughy, but its coming along and looking a lot better than in the pic. It had a problem with starting, (click at the relay, but no crank from the starter) a very common issue for Moto Guzzis even on new models, fixed simply by taking a wire direct from the battery (+ve) to the relay, thus avoiding a voltage drop from power going through the ignition and starter button before getting to the relay.

Yes the starter is a problem some times but as you say easily fixed ..... ive not had any trouble with my stelvio ntx ( yet ! ) but i am going to do the roller tappet conversion on it this year .
Then im just going to start putting some serious miles on it TUP
