I another thread we got onto the subject of the Curtiss air museum in Hammondsport, NY.
These are a few samples of what to see there.

The black motorcycle is the one Curtiss set a land speed record on the sands of Daytona Beach.
The other is a sample of many similar bikes from days gone by.

There are many similar old planes like this one - and of course a sample of the famous Curtiss P-40 Warhawk of WWII.

Now, I've just got to go there................ Thanks for the photos, Rocky. Take your time shoveling, or whatever, the snow; no hurry, it'll still be there tomorrow!
It's a nice museum and shows what a genius Curtiss really was. There are also family artifacts like silverware and such, cars, etc., plus a nice gift shop.
The snow removal is all done thanks to my trusty Craftsman snow blower.

Thanks for the link. If I ever get up that way...
For anyone who may get up that way, the nearby town of Corning has the Corning Glass Works and Museum which is really something to see! In a public bleacher area you can watch the glass making and glass blowing going on.
The works of art in glass in the museum is also really something to see!
Downtown is the Rockwell Museum of Western Art with it's great paintings and sculptures of the old west.
