I was thinking about the module that fits the Scrambler 1200.
I have a Cardo unit but would like a turn by turn unit on this bike. Tried the Bee Line with little success, and got a refund.
Anyone got one, tried it out in most conditions?
Like to hear about your findings

Hi
I have a Scrambler 1200 XE and. Tiger 800 XRT , both have the connectivity module fitted. I had some problems with the Tiger as the heated seat stopped working for a while before a software update sorted most of the issues I had. The Scrambler has been trouble free to be honest and I can only put that down to having no heated seat at all. It has been trouble free and worked as it should every time. However, both units have been a little slow on occasion and as such I have been right on top of a turn when it tells me to turn at the next left for instance. It depends on your phone signal rather than build it maps so if you have low signal then it may take a moment to catch up. The good thing about it is that the display is in your clocks rather than separately like my old Tom Tom units was so it can’t be stolen and there is very little setting up time. I’d give it 8/10 .. it really depends on your expectation level .

I've got one on my 2022 Scrambler XE and like it. However, I only use it for music and can no longer change the volume (it worked for the first few months I had it) but I can still change songs with the toggle switch on the bars.

Should be a warranty claim surely.

I called in to my dealer on Saturday to check for updates. Although I had a software update that partly fixed the problem he tells me there is a NEW UPDATE. I am calling them today to get it booked in for sometime this week and will come back and update afterwards. This is for my Tiger 800 where the heated seats were not working correctly. My Scrambler XE has had no problems at all. Both have the connectivity module fitted .

Does the Satnav require the phone to have a WiFi connection at all times?

I see! I've been using an app which was pretty good last week in France, but here it let me down in blighty 5 times in 200

Bring back the good old days when we read maps and road signs!! We would stop to read the map then watch the road for signs .. people used to remember a route as well .. not relying on tech to get you somewhere even though you had been there 20 times before … it’s called progress apparently

Well that didn’t go well…
Went back to my dealer as booked and they did an upgrade. Checked the heated seats before leaving and they were working fine. Ride the 25 mile back home and as I put my bike away I decided to check the nav connection to my phone. My iPhone would not pair at all…. So next morning as the dealer was opening up I rolled up. It turns out they had done a mod on the tft screen only so then proceeded to do the connectivity module. When this was done we connected the phone and everything seemed fine, including the seats .. winner winner.
The next morning we were about to set off for a weekend in Cornwall which is about 160miles .. bike out gear on ..and no sat nav !! I tried to pair my phone again and again to no avail .. I also tried to pair my GoPro .. nothing.. I knew the journey all but the last few miles so carried on. When we stopped for a coffee I tried to pair again .. nothing .. over the weekend I tried several times .. nothing..
when we returned on Sunday evening and after about an hour of trying my phone managed to pair once more .. still no joy with the GoPro.
So I am just enjoying my morning coffee before heading back to the dealer .. I don’t know yet if my phone will still pair this morning , I assume it will but we will see..
I will let you know later how it goes

By this time, I would have requested my money back.

After spending 3hrs will a tech at the dealer my phone is now connected to the bike , nav , music and phone all working .. and heated seats…
However, neither of my GoPro’s (6&7) will connect to the bike.. after a lot of head scratching and app deleting .. we gave up. I have emailed the factory and he will be talking to some bod at HQ.
As I was leaving there was a guy with another tech having trouble connecting his Android phone …. ‍♂️
I came home and tried to connect to my scrambler .. again phone and nav working but won’t see the GoPro.. but it did before the app update so that is where the problem must lie, nothing else has changed, same phone, same bike, same connectivity hardware (which has not been updated from new) so it has to be the app update.

In short , I will continue with this as I don’t like to be beaten.. but if you want an easy life and you just like things to work … I’d save your money !!

I managed a trip from the Midlands to Devon just by using road signs and common sense . Given my time again I’d use these two and if all else fails .. stop and ask someone

Keep your money , Triumph had enough when you rode off the forecourt !

I will let you all know if I get it all working … but please.. don’t hold your breath

Ride safe everyone
